Due to the current uncertainty over the latest wave of COVID-19, and procedures within the Georgia Capitol Building, the Georgia Dental Association leadership has made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining LAW Days scheduled for 2022.
While no formal announcement regarding the attendance of large outside groups has been made by either the House or Senate, the GDA Government Affairs team has been in communication with leadership in both chambers and they have expressed their concern over the Omicron Variant and strong reluctance towards large groups at the Capitol this session. The Government Affairs team has also consulted other associations as to their plans and found that most are not holding events in the Capitol out of an abundance of caution. It is also important to note that just as in the previous two sessions direct access to legislators “on the ropes” is not available outside the House chamber and extremely limited, with no pages, outside the Senate chamber.
